Trident Smiles Dental was born from a profound desire to break free from the conventional dental norms. We dared to envision a place where patients could escape the ordinary and immerse themselves in a serene oasis. As you step into our office, you are instantly enveloped in a tranquil ambiance, reminiscent of a beach resort vacation. Our calming coastal hues and soothing atmosphere transport you to a place of relaxation and rejuvenation. We believe that dental care should be an enjoyable experience, and our dedicated team is committed to making that a reality.
Challenges Faced and a Quest for Excellence:
While our vision propelled us forward, the constraints imposed by Delta Dental became increasingly apparent. The stringent regulations and decreased reimbursement fees threatened to compromise the personalized, specialized care we wanted to provide. To make matters worse, the network's new contracted reimbursement rates, effective from 2023, have drastically declined even further. All of the above reasons have left dentists with two options. In order to stay in network with Delta Dental, some dentists have decided to compensate these losses by cutting costs and investments. This means cheaper materials, rushed treatments or eradications of patient perks.
The other option was to uphold high standards of dental care and change the relationship with Delta Dental network. We refused to let our commitment to excellence waver.
A Bold Decision for a Brighter Future:
Changing our relationship with Delta Dental network was not an easy decision, but it was a necessary one. Remaining within the network would have meant sacrificing the things that made our patients fall in love with Trident. It would mean compromising on high quality suppliers such as the Swiss Straumann implants we use. It would mean compromising on investments into patient perks and our state-of-the-art technologies such as Vatech or iTero scanners. And it would mean compromising on the time we spend with our patients, rushing through treatments to accommodate a higher patient load. This was not the path we envisioned, nor the path our patients deserved.
Dr. Raja envisioned a dental practice that not only provides exceptional care but also offers a serene and inviting atmosphere, eliminating the anxiety often associated with dental visits. The only way to maintain that vision was to leave Delta dental.
